Elk Grove's Cassandra Barragan (9 years old), smiles as she crosses the finish line of the Eppie's Great Race "Kaiser Permanente Kids Duathlon," with a time of 1:02:56. Barragan competed as an "Iron Kid," running 2.5 miles and then biking 6 miles on the American River Parkway.
