Rotary Club of Roseville member volunteers (left-to-right) John DeLacy and incoming President Glenn Fong spent several hours on Saturday, April 26, 2008, cleaning, raking and clearing non-native plants within the Mahaney Park wetlands preserve in Roseville. The Roseville Rotary members were among over 685 Rotarians who completed 44 different volunteer projects in one day, known as "Rotarians at Work Day." The "Rotarians at Work" volunteer projects benefitted a variety of nonprofit organizations, schools, parks and neighborhoods throughout the Central Valley from Oroville-to-Elk Grove, and ranged from cleaning and building, to teaching urban children how-to fish and filling care packages for U.S. troops.
