In the 10 years California has had a sexually violent predator therapy program, 58 men have been released from the program at Atascadero State Hospital. The Bee has identified all 58 through court records, Megan's List, newspaper archives, and interviews with prosecutors, law enforcement officials and current and former Atascadero patients.
