Active 20-30 USA (founded- and based-in Sacramento) and the Active 20-30 Sacramento No. 1 Club, were recognized by President George W. Bush with a "Presidential Volunteer Service Award", as well as named a national "Daily Point of Light" by the "Points of Light Foundation," on Friday, April 25, 2008, "Global Youth Service Day." Congratulating and recognizing the organization for completing 85 years of community volunteerism benefiting children worldwide, Active 20-30 also received similar awards and accommodations from the United States Senate and House of Representatives, the State of California, and Sacramento's Community Services Planning Council.
