Active 20-30 No. 1 Club member volunteers celebrated "Global Youth Service Day" by painting and installing decorations at the CommuniCare Health Center playground in West Sacramento. The Active 20-30 raised funds to replace the playground equipment after it was stolen from CommuniCare last Fall. Later in the day, Active 20-30 received awards from President George W. Bush, the national Points of Light Foundation, the United States Senate and House of Representatives, the State of California, Sacramento's Community Services Planning Council and CommuniCare Health Center, recognizing Active 20-30 for 85 year of volunteer service benefitting children, as the "Original Global Youth Service Organization."
